I’m Julia, and a rather long and eventful journey has brought me to where I am today. Upon returning from Paris, after spending five years working as a landscape architect, we started our family. It didn’t take long to realize that one of my children was struggling with social, sensory and behavioral difficulties, and seemed to be sick all of the time. I rolled up my sleeves and got to work learning everything I could possibly learn to help my child. That was back in 1995! I scoured the internet, and read everything I could find on learning issues, attention issues, sensory processing dysfunction and autism spectrum disorders. When a new book came out, I bought it. When I heard of an interesting conference, I went to it. When a new therapy became available, we tried it. Along the way I returned to school to become a naturopath (which I am still working towards). I became a Rescue Angel with Generation Rescue.org back in 2005; in fact, I was one of the founding members! That same year I did my Defeat Autism Now! Practitioner’s training. In July 2006 I participated in a “Conference on Curing Autism” using sequential homeopathy, and in spring 2009 I presented, along with my four colleagues, a master’s level thesis on using homeopathy to recover children with ADHD through autism. In May 2009 I graduated as a homeopath, specializing in children with neurological disorders and learning and behavioral challenges. In 2008 I also did my training in Interactive Metronome. I knew the program well, and knew that it is a wonderful tool to help build connections in the brain, improving the neurological processes of motor planning and sequencing. In July 2009, I became the first Canadian to study with the renowned physician and homeopath, Tinus Smits. Welcome to my website, and thank you for visiting! |
